In this movie, we pick five years after their big battle in 1985. They all split and got different jobs and are no longer called the Ghostbusters. They were plagued with lawsuits and court orders, everyone blamed them for what happened. Which just makes me mad, because they pretty much saved everyone.
The movie starts with Ray and Winston going to be the entertainment at a kids party. Which is stupid, they saved the world and they have to go to birthday party’s to have a little bit of money. Then you see Dana with her baby (When did she have a baby and with who?) walking down the street is groceries, going to her “new” apartment. She’s walking and you see a lot of people arguing all around her. She stops in front of her building and asks the doorman for help, then, the baby’s stroller rolls away not running into anything (SOMEONE SHOULD SAVE THAT BABY!!) and then stops in the middle of the road. Venkmen has his own T.V. show called “ The World of the Psychic”(In the first movie, Dana told Dr. Venkin that he was like a game show host, I think that is funny since he is now a T.V. host.). Ray owns his own book store. Egon is working in a laboratory studying human emotions. Dana works at an museum cleaning art. Louis is now the Ghostbuster lawyer.
After what happened to Dana’s baby, Oscar, the Ghostbusters went looking for the spot that Oscar stooped. What they found was a river of smile. Now, the Ghostbusters are back in business. Trying to find what is haunting Oscar, Venkmen meets Dana at the place where she works and see’s a creepy picture of Vigo the Carpathian. Who died in a not so nice matter! Who also want to come back as a baby to rule the world. Hints: Oscar is the baby he is choosing.
Dana and Oscar are attacked by the pink slime, which is kinda of dumb to not hear the slime coming out of the bath tub, and went to Venkmen's home to help them out. Egon and Ray found something out about the slime, that it likes music (mostly by Howard Huntsberry.) Vigo steals Oscar, Dana goes after him and The Ghostbusters go after Dana. But, the Ghostbusters can’t it to them, because, the entire building in covered by hard slime. (I didn’t get how the slime got all over the building.)
The Ghostbusters look for something big enough to break into the building Dana and Oscar are trapped in. They think of the Statue of Liberty, the go to the Statue of Liberty right then and there (which would probably take a lot longer than a minute), cover the inside of it with slime and then start play some music. Then the Statue of Liberty starts to move and walk to the building. The Statue of Liberty break the glass covered slime on top of the building and the Ghostbusters go into save Dana and Oscar from Vigo.
The Ghostbusters come in with their proton packs and positively charged slime. Vigo is trying to turn into Oscar, (if you watch the movie it is a little bit creepy watching Vigo turning in Oscar), the Ghostbusters stopped that Vigo while he was still in the painting. Vigo disappears from the painting(I was freaking out at this point) and starts to attack Dana and the Ghostbusters, trying to get to Oscar. They send Vigo back into the painting, the Ghostbusters hit it was the proton packs and positively charged slime. Vigo is gone and the painting looks like all four of the Ghostbusters all around the baby, Oscar. Which looked pretty cool!
Ghostbusters II always was better than Ghostbuster, but, that is my opinion on the subject. How do you like of the Ghostbusters II? Would watch the movie after reading this blog?
