I grow up watching the movie Shrek. I watched so many times when I was a kid that my granny and papal had to buy many Shrek movies, because I would it until the movie would burn out. The movie is for children, teens and adults. The movie is a little dirty, but most of the jokes only teenagers and adults get them. When i was a child I loved that movie, now when i watch it I seem to get all of the jokes i didn't get when i was a kid.

The movies characters are Shrek the ogre, Donkey the donkey, Lord Farquaad the little ruler, and Fiona a princess that is human and turns ogre when the night falls. The movie is a about an ogre (who hates anything and everything that is not him or his swamp)who got his swamp overrun with fairy tale creatures and wants to get rid of all of them. He goes to the “Lord Farquaad” (Lord Farquaad is a very rude person, and if he doesn’t have his way he gets very angry, then wants to hurt you) to move the fairy tale creatures to another area, besides his swamp. Lord Farquaad, who is a very small man, told Shrek that to get his swamp to himself again he would have to save the princess from the tower. The movie is hilarious, mostly the part of Shrek beating up all of the guards that were going to compete to save the princess Fiona. It is just Shrek and Donkey fighting and beating everyone and everything that moves.

Of course Shrek agrees to do it (Shrek really wants his swamp back), to get his swamp back! Him and Donkey go and find the tower to rescue the princess. They find the tower, after a few long days of walking, and are about to proseed to the tower. Until, Donkey is afraid of heights and would not cross the bridge that was keeping them from falling into the lava. They cross it to find out that there was a dragon that was guarding the princess. So, while Shrek was getting Fiona from her tower, Donkey was sweet talking the dragon (who was falling madly in love with Donkey, I have no clue how that happened). They run out of there, leaving the dragon at the castle (with a broken heart, what a mean donkey).

Fiona thinks it is her prince or knight in shining armor and his trusty steed, but it was an OGRE. She was so angry that Shrek saved her and not a prince. She had calmed down when Shrek and Donkey told her that they were hired by Lord Farquaad to save her, so he could marry her (so he could be a really Lord and not some poser.) Lord Farquaad is not a really “Lord” and he wants to be a really ruler to keep his castle and keep ruling. Donkey finds out the princess little secret, which is she is a ogre of night. Fiona realizes that she is falling in love with Shrek, and he is feeling the same way. But he came across her and Donkey talking about herself as an ogre and Shrek thought they were talking about him, so now he is mad and goes and gets Lord Farquaad to come and pick Fiona up. Fiona is running outside to tell Shrek she loves him (when she is an ogre, but the sun comes up and she is human), then Lord Farquaad is there to pick her up and she goes with him to marry him, since she is mad at Shrek now.

Shrek and Fiona are missing each other. Donkey gets a visit from the dragon. Donkey runs to let Shrek that Fiona is in love with him and Shrek gets up to go stop the wedding. Fiona is getting ready for the wedding, to marry Lord Farquaad. Shrek is waiting to stop the wedding at the time is says is any one does not want these two people to be together speech now or forever hold your peace, but he was to late and just ran it to stop the wedding. When is fighting to tell Fiona how he feels, she turns into an ogre and Lord Farquaad is mad. He wants Fiona and Shrek to be killed. Donkey and Dragon come in and save the day, the dragon eats Lord Farquaad (which was hilarious). Fiona and Shrek end up living on his swamp and getting married. Donkey and Dragon end up together and have donkey/dragon babies. That are like cute nightmares.

The movie is a good romantic, comedy, and fairy tale to watch with the whole family. The movie was my favorite movie growing up, I hope you watch it and like as much as I do. Have a great movie loving day. Enjoy the movies.
