Pink Palace

This week’s blog post is about the movie Coraline. From the makers who brought you The Nightmare before Christmas, brought you the movie Coraline. The movie is a little bit like The Nightmare Before Christmas, most because it is also a little weird. The movie is very strange, but very interesting. It brings your mind in and make image things throw the whole movie.

Coraline, who is played by Dakota Fanning, who you may know off of Twilight. Mother or Other Mother, who is played by Teri Hatcher, who you may know off of the T.V. show Lois & Clark The New Adventures. Father or Other Father, who is played by John Hodgman, who you may know off of Pitch Perfect 2. Cat, who is played by Keith David, who you may know off of The Princess and the Frog. Wybie, who is played by Robert Bailey Jr., who you may know off of The Happening. Mr. Bobinsky, who is played by Ian McShane, who you may know off of the T.V. show American Horror Story: Asylum.

It starts off with a little girl who moves into a house that is divided into apartments. Her mom and dad moved her to the Pink Palace Apartments. Coraline has blue hair and loves adventure. She got bored and explored around looking at things, while using her imagination to guide her to something cool. Coraline almost fell down a well, a well they said that is so deep that if you fall down during the day and look up when you land you would see stars in the sky. That night, she found the little door in the living room, that took her to another world. Where her Other Mother well do anything to make her happy. While the Other Mother is making Coraline happy, she is also trying to convince her to stay with her forever. Mostly the Other Mother is a giant spider woman who louwers children in, so she can eat them. Coraline escapes and makes sure that the Other Mother will never be able to bring children to the other world to eat them.

Once I saw a preview for the movie I really wanted to watched the movie. Mostly wanted to see the movie because I loved The Nightmare Before Christmas, so I thought Coraline would be just as good. I love how the movie made me imagine what it would be like if I was in the Other World. I also loved how Coraline was always having fun until she found out about her Other Mother's real intenses. I do and always will LOVE this movie, it is a pretty cool and excited cartoon movie.
